Beatriz von Eidlitz

original works of art | “Roseta Negra” 97 x 97 cm | “Fleur Noir”, 50 x 50 cm | iron, pigments, oxides

In the alchemical laboratory of artist Beatriz von Eidlitz, transformation processes take place in which water and rags, metals and oxides, pigments and binders are formed into unmistakable objects. Her experiments with a wide variety of techniques and materials have led her to unique results that have never been seen before in the history of art.

The impressive flora of her native Argentina, journeys through the vast landscapes of Patagonia and views of rock formations in the Quebrada de Humahuaca characterize her work. In 1979, during the military dictatorship, she left the country as a sculpture student at the University of Buenos Aires and continued her training at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich.

In the works of Beatriz von Eidlitz, we experience nature and elemental forces in rich, warm colors. Unique, haptically appealing surfaces tell of cosmic forces, timeless, infinite.
