Harald Rautenberg

Ceiling design in the bar | 12,75 x 3,75 m | Executing company Hans Uebelacker | Photo by Tobias Trapp

Harald Rautenberg, a trained urban planner and outstanding graphic designer who has shaped the brands and appearances of many large companies, draws our attention to the interplay of shapes and lines, shades and nuances. His designs are characterised by their great sensitivity to architectural details and a fine sense of appropriate interior design. As is so often the case, the reduction – here to green and white tones – allows us to experience and see more. He designed the ceiling painting especially for the bar in the Koenigshof.

The lines and shapes were inspired by Stone Age cave paintings. Mostly abstract, associations with animal or human figures can be discovered time and again.

Harald Rautenberg’s design was realised by the company Hans Übelacker GmbH & Co KG, known for its special craftsmanship when it comes to unusual surface design.
