Embossed works by Ruediger Seidt are created alongside his main work, sculpture. What these two bodies of work have in common are their soft, organic forms, their elegant and harmonious dynamism and their geometrically reduced formal language.

The starting point of his sculptural works is the mathematical form of the tetrahedron. This is the name given to a figure made up of four equilateral triangles. Basic geometric shapes such as the circle, the helix, the Fibonacci series or the Möbius strip inspire him in his groups of works. He skillfully combines their scientific essence with the harmonies of artistic scale in an elegant and poetic way.

Ruediger Seidt was born in Forbach 1965 | since 1989 working as a freelance artist | 1991 sculpture projects in the USA | 1992-96 “Reiseplastik”, a sculpture goes on a journey to France, Greece, Morocco, Zimbabwe, Peru, and New York City | since 2004 initiator, co-founder, organizer, and participant of the Kunstweg am Reichenbach | since 2011 artistic director of the Kunstweg am Reichenbach | 2012 founding member of Experiment Landschaft-Kunst in Herrenwies

As a sculptor, he is also interested in three-dimensionality in his works on paper. In his embossed works, he achieves this by imprinting metallic lines and shapes under the handmade paper.
